We decided to begin this day at a more relaxing pace, so after another, of what has becomes Amy's signature logger's breakfasts, we headed to the pool for some R & R. After several long jumping demonstrations by Jaxson and some much needed undisturbed rays, we got organized and headed out for some more adventures after lunch.

Some discussions around the pool with some couples from Texas turned us on to a couple of RV parks in Bryce and Zion National Park. Amy and I decided to forego the Grand Canyon, which we could just as easily see next time we are in Vegas, in favor of more time in Bryce and a stop at the Zion National Park.

We ventured out in the afternoon toward Dead Horse Point, named after a tragic series of events in the old days, how cowboys would herd wild mustangs to this point high atop the canyon above the Colorado river and then corral the horses out on this point where the narrowest section is only 30 yards wide. Once the cowboys had selected their favorites, they would leave the remaining horses to perish due to dehydration ironically within view of the mighty Colorado far below on the canyon floor.

A beautiful sight this point is, providing a unique look at the river as it tortuously winds through the canyon below. We took some time for photos and even found a rainbow amongst some passing storm clouds in the distance. From there it was a quick drive over to Canyonlands National Park for the sunset. We were running out of time, and asked a ranger to point us towards where we should see the sunset and take some more pictures. Well we made it, and got some great shots.

We wound up our night at Zax Bar and Grill in Moab, where the boys enjoyed their dinner and did their best pirate impersonations wearing bandanas at dinner. Another great day, and tomorrow we are heading off at a reasonable time for Bryce. Reservations confirmed at Ruby's RV Park for two nights. We said goodnight to the boys after reviewing the days pictures and recounting everyone's favorite memories.
