There exists a lake that is south of Germany and North of Austria, and Switzerland, connecting the three in a 40-mile stretch, by the name of CONSTANCE. Many vacationers from all three countries enjoy the beautiful no-gasoline powered engine lake, and many people call it home. All around the lake are signs of small communities, which have made a home of the beautiful lake located in the midst of the Alpine Mountains.

Crossing over into Austria, we drove down a scenic path towards Bregenz, and the famous opera house on the water for a real treat. Any show with a stage on the water has to be good! The pictures show a fantastic visual display, but they fail to capture the audio affects that where present during the show. Truly a masterpiece, Tosca, an Italian Opera, was the best live performance I have ever seen. The life of an artist was portrayed in opera-esque fashion, with the backdrop of Lake Constance and the German mountains and hills.

During the show, the extensive audio system newly installed, echoed with its' surround sound capabilities. The giant eye in the middle was attached to a crane that was able to move forward, and then horizontally and vertically shift. When the eye came forward, a video screen would cover the hole remaining, and a new eye would be displayed for the audience. At the end of the show, the entire backdrop of the eye rotated backwards to reveal a secret chamber where the artists have been placed behind bars. A love story, in which the protagonist is an Italian artist, Tosca performed at Lake Constance is a must see for your visual, audio and emotional stimulants!
