After getting on the train at Hardiwar in the nick of time (with about 20seconds to spare) we headed down to Delhi. We stayed in Delhi for two days. Most of our time was spent buying up large and Charlie took us to his favourite restaurant to eat his favourite meal: Tandoori chicken!

We then flew down to Mumbai for five days before flying home to NZ. A highlight for all of us was Water Kingdom!!! - asia's largest water park! It made for a very fun day and we met some very cool indians at the park.

Lucy and I visited a shopping complex called High Street Phoenix situated in a very upmarket area in Mumbai. This place was incredible - three shopping malls in total, with gold ceilings and fancy chandeliers! We felt very out of place in our VERY dirty travellers clothes! The following day we visited a slum - from these two experiences we definately saw two very different sides to India.

We tried to have a look inside the grounds of Mumbai University. Despite Charlie stating "but we are from Otago University and we have come to see your University" the guards would not let us in!

Our last night was one of class - we all got dressed up in our best clothes and had dinner at the very flash Taj Mahal Palace Hotel. The night was topped off with a ride in a bright and glitzy gypsy horse carriage along the waterfront. The indian driver tried to rip us off on the price - a very fitting ending to our adventure in India (we thought!).
