We were shown around Tineghir by a Berber villager named Idriss. Idriss was fluent in seven languages: Berber, Arabic, Spanish, French, German, Italian, and Japanese, which is a very impressive linguistic resume considering less than 1% of Berber natives can write their own language. Idriss had just started learning English a little while before we arrived, so he spoke Spanish with our Peruvian student, Helga.
Afterward we went to Erfoud, hopped aboard a few jeeps, and went off-roading in the Dunes of Merzouga.
