Sunday, October 2nd

Today we got up, packed up the RV and headed out.  We weren't really sure where we were going yet, but I decided I could go for some Dunkin Donuts so we drove to one in Geneva while Jared looked up a good bar to watch the Steelers game in.  There was one listed on his app in Geneva or we could drive closer to Rochester, NY for some more bars.  We mapped it to one in Rochester and it was going to take about an hour to get there, which would put us close to game time so we decided to stay in Geneva and hit up Dana’s Time Out (DTO).  When we went in they asked if we wanted to sit at a table or the bar and we asked which tv would have the Steelers game on.  They pointed it out to us and we got two seats at the bar.  They informed us that some more people would be coming in to watch the Steelers game too.  By game time we had about 10 Steelers fans there.  There were also little groups for other teams throughout the bar watching their respective tvs.  It was a pretty cool place to watch a game in.  Unfortunately we had to watch the Steelers lose and the Eagles lose on the tv right next to the Steelers.  It was not a good day for football.

While at the bar we decided that we would just stay at a campground close to Geneva for the night so that we could also watch the Phillies game at DTO.  When the Steelers game ended though we settled up our tab and then headed to the RV, which we had parked about a block down the street in a Wegman’s parking lot since the DTO parking lot was rather small.  We decided that we would just hang out in the RV in the Wegman’s parking lot to rest up before heading back to DTO for the Phillies game.  I took a nap and Jared watched some stuff off of Netflix on his phone.  When it got close to game time we headed to the Arby’s right next to the Wegman’s for a quick dinner and then back to DTO for the game.

The bar had really emptied out by now and we were able to get the Phillies on two tvs with the sound.  There was one guy there watching the Jets/Ravens game, but he said we could have the sound for the Phillies game.  We weren’t really up for drinking too much so Jared just had one beer and I had a glass of wine.  We stayed for the whole game and were disappointed with the outcome.  It was a rough day in sports all around for us.  The Phillies are all tied up 1-1 in the NLDS now, but I am sure they will come back and win the series for us.  We will have to find another place to watch the next game on Tuesday night.  We have been searching for campgrounds with cable in the area so that we don’t have to spend money at a bar, but have been unsuccessful so far.  Hopefully one comes up, if not we will head to a bar I am sure.
