Sunday, August 7th

When we got there Dad Bookhamer was there as were some of the boys still. We found out that Dad Bookhamer was dehydrated and was doing well.  The doctors told him to take it easy the rest of the day and drink plenty of water.  So while he hung out with the kids watching some movies the rest of us worked on cleaning up all the stuff from man weekend.  We worked the rest of the afternoon and then relaxed that night.

Monday, August 8th Huntingdon County Fair

We got up this morning and had some breakfast.  We had decided that we would hit up the Huntingdon County Fair for lunch with Jared's parents.  After the fair we will be heading out so we spent the morning packing up the car so that we would be ready to go after we finished up at the fair

When we got to the fair we got our stamps and headed in to the fair.  We headed over to the ring where they were judging the horses.  Of course Jared and I have no idea what they are looking for, but we were making our own judgments.  I don’t think we picked any of the right horses to win the blue ribbons. Haha.  When we finished up at the horses we headed in to some of the barns to look at the animals and found ourselves at the bleachers where we could watch the showing of the cows.  We sat and watched that for a little bit while Jared’s parents told us about when they used to show cows and pigs.  We sat for a while to see who won the ribbons and then moved on to check out the goat, pig and sheep barns.

When we finished checking out the animals we headed to the antique farm museum to check it out.  We spent some time looking at all the old equipment and cars in there.  Then we headed out to get some lunch from the trucks.  Jared and his parents all got gyros from John the Greek.  This is Jared’s favorite and he always talks about how good these are so he was excited we were there for him to get one.  I ended up deciding on a pepperoni Stromboli from OIP (Original Italian Pizza), it was delicious.

When we finished up with lunch we walked through some of the craft halls and the art displays.  We had a good time walking around for a little bit.  We then headed back to the house to get Nash and the last of our stop and then headed out to drive to my parents house.
