The Field of Dreams was awesome. The farm house is the same house used in the movie and is still owned by the same family. The baseball field has gravel in the infield instead of red dirt, but otherwise looks great. The field was very nicely groomed and the corn was at a good height in the outfield. It is free to check out and they let you play on the field. We did not have our gloves and a ball, but we did do fake pictures batting at home plate. They had some interesting information to read about the filming of the movie too. Apparently once they picked the area they wanted to film in it was a huge search to pick which farm would be best and these people's farm house won. They did some renovating inside the house to make it more spacious and they extended the deck outside to wrap around the house more. The information said that they put in the baseball field really quickly and the family who owns the house got to meet and mingle with the actors. It was definitely a cool little stop.
