Wednesday, June 1st

The next town we stopped in was Bandon, OR. Old Town Bandon is located on the Coquille River and is a couple of blocks full of boutiques, galleries, and shops. We hit up a shop trying to find a bottle opener magnet, we were unsuccessful, but Jared did pick up a nice piece of Myrtle wood that he is going to make a Cribbage board out of. We continued on our way walking around the town and decided to stop at the Coffee Break for a cup of coffee.  It was a cute little place that had a free newsletter informing the townspeople of what was going on for the day.  Most of the stuff was at the Senior Citizens Center.  There was an ad for Say Cheese & Wine Too and we decided to go check it out. All of the wines in the store were fruity ones, but we did pick up a nice chunk of Colby-jack jalapeno cheese. We will have to try it later with dinner. Our next stop was a used book store. Jared has been looking for the lord of the rings books and we lucked out. They had a cool old set that we purchased for a great price. We then headed back over towards the river to get some pictures of the Coquille River Lighthouse. We were pretty far away from it though so we decided to head to Bullards Beach State Park so we could get closer and get some better pictures.
