Tuesday, May 31st

After finishing up our calls we got back on the road and headed for the Cape Blanco State Park. When we got here we picked a site, checked in and then decided to head out for a hike. We did the Coastal Trail which led us to see the ocean and a good view of the lighthouse. It isn't open today since it is the day after a holiday (that is what the park ranger told us), but it will be open tomorrow morning so we can get closer to it. We tried to look for some whales in the ocean because the guy at the visitor’s center said that sometimes whales hang out in this area, but we weren’t able to see any. While walking we noticed a tic on Nash (which we promptly removed) so we decided to give him a bath when we got back to the campsite. He was due for a bath anyway and we figured this way we could be sure there weren’t any more on him. Jared put on his bathing suit so he could hold Nash while I sprayed him with the hose and I put on my rain boots and shorts so that I didn’t get completely soaked to (Jared said he really liked the look I was going with). The plan worked out well and Nash is all nice and clean now. After finishing that task up we played some games, organized some pictures and typed up the blog even though we don’t have internet.

Wednesday, June 1st

We got up this morning and headed with the RV to get a closer look at the Cape Blanco Lighthouse.  could have gone up in it, but we decided to just take some pictures from the outside.  After getting our pictures we headed out on to route 101 again.
