After leaving the Jack Rabbit we continued on Route 66 towards Winslow, Arizona. You may think you remember or have even been to Winslow Arizona because it sounds so familiar. I'll help you to remember why: "I was standing on a corner in Winslow Arizona, Such a fine site to see, There’s a girl my Lord, in a flatbed Ford slowing down to take a look at me…" Got it? It was pretty cool. There was a mural honoring the corner it was said to be written about with a guy made of brass (or something like that) standing on a corner holding a guitar and a painting on the wall of a girl driving by in a flatbed Ford. There was also a Ford sitting out there that we parked the RV behind, great photo op if I do say so myself. We walked around a little bit more in Winslow and saw just about the only other thing it had to offer, La Posada Hotel which was very interesting and also a little hoity-toity. We grabbed a bit to eat at bar and grill in Winslow and then continued on the journey to the mother of all big holes.
