Friday, April 8th

Today we again had breakfast at the Chuck Wagon and then we headed out from the campground for Bandera, TX. We had some time to kill before our scheduled horseback riding so we walked around the town and checked it out. It is known as the Cowboy Capital of the World. It was a pretty nice little small town. We just walked around and checked out some of the shops before heading out to the Twin Elm Ranch to go horseback riding. We did an hour ride and it was just Jared and me on the tour. It was a nice little ride and our wrangler Justin was super nice. We had a nice conversation with him throughout the entire ride. It was really weird because his wife was also named Jennifer and she is from Bucks County, PA. We had a lot of things in common to talk about with him, although he was a Dallas Cowboys fan (BOO!!).

After our horseback ride we headed to a local bar Longhorn in Bandera, TX for a couple of beers.  Next we moved on to the Bandera Saloon and Grill for some food and beers. While we were there a guy rode up on his horse and hooked the horse up out front while he came in for a beer. It was really cool, all of the bars had hitching post for horses out front. After that one we headed to the 11th Street Cowboy Bar. We had a nice little batour and then we headed to Luckenbach.  Luckenbach,TX which is a small little place right outside of Fredericksburg, TX. It just has a dance hall, general store, and a bar. We got some beers and hung out in the dance hall for a while. Afterwards we headed to our campground Oakwood RV Resort.

Dad B. on

You seem to be finding a lot of neat things to see and do in Texas. It really looks cool.
