Sunday, March 13th

Today we got up pretty early to leave the Villa for Universal Studios. Not as early as the rest of my family that had to catch a plane. They left the Villa at like 4:30am, I am so glad we didn't have to get up that early. Anyway like I said we drove right to Universal Studios and boarded Nash at the Kennel there for the day. We wouldn't have been able to check in to our campsite until later in the day and we didn't want to waste the day.

Universal Studios was not nearly as crowded as Islands of Adventure was last week, so we didn't have that long of waits at most rides. They changed it up since the last time I was there so it was really fun to ride some new rides. We both agreed that the Mummy ride was our favorite. Jared really liked the Simpsons ride, but it made me a little nauseous. I don't do those simulator ones that well. They also have a pretty cool new roller coaster where you pick what music you want to listen to while you ride. We both ended up picking The Devil Went Down to Georgia. I love that song. They had a video of us during the ride that we could buy (we didn't buy it) but we both were jammin on the video. HAHA

We also caught some different shows in Universal that we really liked. One of them was the Blues Brothers Concert, which I have seen before but it was still really good. The guy playing Elwood Blues totally reminded us of Bryant. When he was playing the harmonica and dancing around he looked just like Bryant. I have a video of it. Our internet connection right now is a little bit slow so I will try to upload it later when it doesn't take as long.

After leaving the park we ate dinner on the City Walk at Pat O'Brien's and then we headed to the KOA to check in.

Monday, March 14th

We woke up pretty early today so that we could catch the a bus to the Magic Kingdom, where we then caught another bus to the Animal Kingdom. This was Jared's first time at the Animal Kingdom. We had a great time checking out all of the animals. We saw tons on the Safari Ride (I got lots of pictures) and then more on different hikes through the park. One of the newer rides is Expedition Everest, which is a roller coaster ride through Everest. And we took the Wildlife Express Train to Rafiki's Planet Watch. In Rafiki's Planet Watch you could check out where the Disney Vets work and they had some videos of them doing actual procedures on some of the animals. It was really cool to see a huge gorilla knocked out but holding on to a worker's hand with his hand. We also went into the petting area where two goats were going at each other for a while. I tried to get a picture with Jasmin while we were here, but the lighting turned out really bad and Jared didn't want to hold up the line to fix it. That kind of sucked but at least we didn't wait in a line to get it. When we went up there was no line but then a line formed behind us. I started taking pictures of characters with others peoples kids in them since we didn't want to wait in lines. I would try to get them as the kids walked away but sometimes it just didn't work out.

After we were finished at Animal Kingdom we caught a bus back to the Magic Kingdom and then got on the bus back to our campground.  We were exhausted when we got back so we pretty much ate dinner and then went to bed.

Elwood Blues really does look like Bryant!

It's rainy and miserable here today, so I'm especially jealous seeing the sunny weather. Have a great week!
