This morning we got up nice and early so that we could make a super long drive today. First stopped by Graceland again real quick to sign the wall and then we hit the road.

We got off to a good start and our ETA according to our GPS was actually going to get us to Bowling Green, KY about an hour before our scheduled oil change at the Camping World located there. However, while we were still in TN somewhere we got pulled over. Jared was driving and I was like were you speeding and he said no the cruise control is set on 70 and the speed limit is 70. So we had no idea what we were being pulled over for. The cop waved for Jared to get out of the RV and come back to his car. So Jared went and talked to the cop for a while. I was a little concerned because it was taking so long but I heard Jared chuckle through the open window. Then all the sudden the cop was at my window knocking on it with Jared's license in his hand. He asked me a bunch of questions about where we just were and where we were before that and where we were headed to. He also asked how long we had been out traveling for and for our insurance card. I figured that he was quizzing me to compare the answers to Jared's and he was. When Jared finally got back in the car all was fine. Apparently our Steelers license plate holder was covering up half of Pennsylvania so he couldn't tell which state our license was from. He said no big deal and just told us to take the cover off when we stop in Bowling Green. It delayed us some, but we still had plenty of time to make our appointment.

Then after stopping for gas we get back on the highway still in TN and Jared gets pulled over again. He again says he was not speeding and had the cruise control set. This time the cop came to my window and asked for Jared's license and then asked Jared to get out of the RV and come back to his car. Once Jared was out of earshot he asked me if we were coming from the Superbowl and I said no from Memphis. He said ok and headed back to the car. This guy asked Jared if he would sit in the cop car with him while he ran his license. Jared said sure so the cop said is it ok if I pat you down since you will be in the car with me and Jared said sure. This cop had way more questions about what we were doing (Jared explained our trip), if we had any weapons on board (Jared said a rifle and shotgun in the underneath storage for hunting), if we had any hard drugs on board (Jared said no), and if we had any soft drugs on board (Jared said no). This cop had the same problem with the license plate holder and Jared said that we were pulled over earlier but haven't stopped yet to be able to take it off (we should have taken it off when we stopped for gas but we forgot). This cop also said that our bike cover was blocking the right turn signal and brake light. Jared said well I think that is why it is clear on the ends so you can see through it and the cop said yeah I guess. Jared said well what should I do about it and the cop said I don't know just be careful when you are turning right. So again no real problem. He told us to be safe and sent us on our way.

I decided that all these TN cops think that we are trafficking drugs in our RV since we are young and because Jared has that huge shady beard. At least since Jared just got a new license it also has his huge shady beard on it.

Anyway we made it to Bowling Green, KY with no more delays and got there right on time for our oil change appointment. After that I did the drive the rest of the way to here Argillite, KY and we didn't get pulled over once. I think it because I don't look as shady as Jared, but it could also be because we took the license plate holder off. HAHA

Mom on

Either your shady license plate or Jared's shady beard is not welcome in TN. Better not go back there, bad karma. Seems like your biggest problem so far has been police, go figure. Love you both, be safe in these crazy states.

You guys better take a break from the meth lab for a while- it seems the cops are onto you! Hahaha. Have fun in WV (almost heaven). We'll be nearby in Cumberland this weekend!
