On Friday, Feb. 4th we headed to my parents house to surprise them.  When we got home we found my Dad and brother Philip both passed out in their beds. This was no big surprise since they had gone to Wing Bowl that morning. Nash woke my Dad up and he thought he was dreaming. He came down to see us, but we quickly sent him back to bed. When he woke up again he was surprised again because he really thought he dreamt the whole thing. HAHA. We waited for my Mom to get home from work and then my Mom, Dad, Philip, my sister Kristen, Jared and I all headed to Barnaby's for happy hour. We hung out there for a while and then headed home so that Jared, Philip and I could head in to Philadelphia to hang out with Jared's sister Jenny and her husband Bryant. We played some games and caught up with them for a while before heading home for bed.

Saturday, Feb. 5th
Mom made us an excellent breakfast and then Mom, Dad, Jared and I headed out to do some shopping. Mom and Dad hadn't gotten me a birthday present so we went to buy one. They ended up getting me an awesome Phillies sweatshirt and I can't wait to wear it. After shopping we headed to my Gram's house to see if she was in and we could surprise her. Of course she wasn't because she is a very busy lady.  We headed home to hang out. Philip came home from work and we were just making our first drinks of the night when another surprise came waltzing through the door. My sister Shannon (works in Connecticut) decided since we were home she would come surprise us all for the Superbowl as well. We decided to give Gram another try once Shannon came in. She was home this time and we had a nice time hanging out with her, Aunt Donna and our cousin Alex. It was great seeing them all and catching up. After that we went home for dinner and drinks. Kristen and Pete came over also to hang out with us. We were having a great time (as seen by the picture of Mom and Dad dancing in the living room), but we decided to meet up with some friends at the bar. We all headed out for an awesome night.

Sunday, Feb. 6th Superbowl Sunday
No one who was going to be at the party knew that Jared, Shannon and I were home. We headed out to my aunt and uncle's house early afternoon on Sunday. We had an excellent reception with tons of yelling. As the day went on new people showed up for us 3 to hide behind the bar from and jump out to yell surprise. Everyone fully enjoyed the event. We all had a great time watching the Superbowl, unfortunately our team did not pull through though. It is alright though there is always next year!!

Monday, Feb. 7th
Jared and I decided that since we were in the area we would take care of some appointments that were needed. I headed to my eye doctor appointment which was at 9am in center city. It took a little longer then expected since they had me confused with my sister in-law Jenny. Luckily I got it all straightened out and they got the right chart together. I still have 20-20 vision so the Lasik was still a great choice!!  We took Nash to the vet for his appointment at 1pm. He was due for some shots and we figured he could have a wellness check up and get tested for heart worm. He is doing great, besides being a little overweight as we all know. We are working on a new diet for him and he has been getting way more exercise so hopefully those extra pounds start shedding. After the vet Jared and I headed to watch Kristen coach the Academy Park girls basketball team against Sun Valley. Unfortunately they lost and I don't think Jared and I will be invited back to watch a game. It was a close game though and the girls are doing well for the season. After the game we headed back to Mom and Dad's for some dinner. Mom invited Mom-mom and Pop-pop over and we had some excellent lasagna, meatballs, and garlic bread while catching up. Later in the night Jared, Philip and I all played a game of Life which Philip won.

Tuesday, Feb. 8th
Jared and I had a lazy day today of watching movies. We watched Easy A and Shutter Island. Both were pretty good. I enjoyed Easy A more. Then once Philip got home from work we headed out with him to play some football with our old football the team the Cheetah Bombs. Jared and I went dressed to play just in case they were short some players. It was freezing and we were both under dressed, but luckily when we got there the game got canceled. As soon as the refs got to the field and saw what a sheet of ice it was they canceled the game. So we headed to Jenny and Bryant's to hang out before going to play Quizzo and Liberties with some friends. There ended up being 9 of us at Quizzo so we split in to two teams, boys vs. girls. The boys team consisted of Jared, Philip, Bryant, Greg and Brad. The girls team consisted of Jen, Jenn, Jen and Jenny. Our Quizzo host Tom Asher got really in to our girls vs. boys competition. He kept strict score so that whoever won would have bragging rights. Luckily us girls pulled through and beat the boys by 1 point. We are awesome!!!
