Breakfast was hanging outside our door in the morning!

Didn't get up very early because traveling makes you tired!

First we went to the Vatican Museum and Sistine Chapel, it was quite incredible (covered up the shoulders and the knees).

After that we were a bit tired so we went on the hunt for a pizza. Had 2 amazing pizzas, ice creams and some staples from the waiter. After 3 staples it ran out, skank. We asked for the bill (see photos). Then went to see the Basilica. Incredible, big, vast, humongous. Rysio got hit by a piece of mysterious stone...

Tired we decided to go home, maybe quickly past one of the sights. We headed towards the Castel Sant'Angelo, stopped off in De Spar on the way (at 19:00), got lots of shopping because we didn't know where the next supermarket would be (we didn't know at this point that there was one next door to our hotel so we got 6 liters of water etc etc etc) . Gabi took the map from here and made it a not-so-quick trip home, we crossed over Ponta Sant'Angelo and walked to Ponte Umberto I (both bridges) to see Palazzo di Giustizia and had a mini break as the shopping was weighing us down. Then we started walking to Palazzo Montecitonio but never made it. Gabi took us to Palazzo Madama instead :) then to Piazza Navona, all very pretty at night. Back towards the Pantheon... amazing!!! (Gabi gets to fantasize about ancient history some more). And the Temple Adrian, then the Fontana di Trevi. That's some good accidental tourism!! Rysio is sweating under the weight of the shopping and had been carrying it since it was light, but we trek on!  We go under the long tunnel to our last stop, Palazzo delle Esposizioni and back to the hotel.

Crack open the Amaretto!!
