We got up eventually. Alarms went off at 7:30 and we got up 2 hours later... not too bad.

Breakfast was good. We headed straight for the coffee. Broke the machine... coffee everywhere!! The lady behind went to tell on us! Oops!! Filled our boots with free breakfast then packed up and went to the beach woooo bring on the sun!

We had to leave the beautiful Kokkoni beach at 14:30 to get a taxi back to the station. I bet Kokkoni was glad to see the back of us after all the havoc we caused in one day!!

We should have been getting a train to Patras but the Greeks are down on their luck and can't afford the keep the trains going. Gabi held down the seats on the bus whilst Rysio went to hunt down some water and fruit, scandal, apparently the fruit is only there for display purposes and you CAN'T buy it!! We watched Get Him to the Greek on the bus and saw some awesome scenery, driving along the coast!!!

Arrived in Patras and walked to the hotel which was the Olympic star 2 mins from the sea front, Gabi handles the business at the front desk, gets handed the key and told the room number. We sail up to the second floor in the lift and Gabi tries the first door, hmmm the key doesn't work maybe it was the next one... or the next one. Gabi tried all the doors on the floor then was absolutely sure it was 203 until a girl came to the door, definitely wasn't that one then!! Rysio sent Gabi down to the desk to ask again which door and eventually we got in!!

The rooms just keep on getting better!! Double bed, jet bath, balcony, and a PC. Not to mention the John Lewis style lamps. We took advantage of the jet bath by doing the washing in it! Score! Put the washing in the bath and turned the bubbles on! Rysio got soaked by the shower head 3 times, the boy never learns!

Went out for dinner on the pier. First we tried to order some wine, wino, vin, nope the waiter had no idea what we were on about! Got and amazing meat platter after it looked like the waiter was trying to say the large platter was too much. Yummy!!

16/8

Get up at get shopping! Spent €50, Rysio wants to pay by card so he gets escorted into the back of the shop into the managers office to pay. Made to feel like a criminal just for paying by card!!

We went to sit in Due Piani, a coffee shop down the road from our hotel, to get e caffeine hit ready for the next leg of our journey. Gabi spots a HUGE staircase so we strap on the back packs and climb up the stairs in the blazing sunshine! On the way up we saw some super strong team working ants trying to take home a massive piece of something insect-like.

Amazing views from the top!! The way down wasn't too easy either. The next mission was to find the port from which we were leaving to get to Italy, so we took a walk down the sea front. After a bit too much walking in the ever blazing sunshine we found the ferry office and upgraded our seats from deck to airplane style seat (hoping to get some sleep). Rysio was on the look out for staples (so we could staple in all our souvenir tickets and things into the book) and thought he would try his luck at getting some free staples... no luck.

We took the bus to the New Port, got there very early so we waited...

Got on the ferry and found our airplane seats (it was like being on an airplane but actually floating along the sea... strange). We spent our time on the boat watching the wire, having a couple of drinks and checking out the view. Eventually tried to go to sleep, we had our seats next to a free one so Gabi and Rysio took it in turns to spread out over 2 seat, alllllll night long!!
