As trails are closed we wentoffonthe train to see the villages today. They are amazing villages, full of washed out colour, all houses are at least 4stories so hence the stairs to everything. All we did was climb up and down. Nick had his first swim in Italy ...in his undies....it was too tempting so he thought bugger it. Only the people having lunch and walking around saw him. He said it was refreshing about 18dgrees. We had lunch down by the harbour, a bottle of ros� with pesto, fresh bread cheese and some sort of ham but nothing like ours.
How tough
We stayed in a place which must have been used as the ironing,washing rooms. I folded up the board, moved stuff out of the way and come back that night she had it out again with a note kitchen is private....thought the room was well heated...she had the heater on drying the washing, both hers and ours though. Oh well 50euro per night and a laugh along with it.
