The mysterious Nasca lines are spread over 500sq km of rock plains. 800li�es, 300 figures and 70 animals. THe figures and lines were made by removing the dark rocks to create a picture or line.

Some think the pictures were created by the Incas who used them to communicate to the gods? Others say its the alien�s landing strip?

The only way to view these incredible lines is to be air-borne. With an empty stomach ( highly advised) I boarded the little 4 seater plane for a 30 minute flight. That lovely queasy feeling as the pilot circles each of the pictures. We were all handed packets at the beginning of the flight incase we ejected our stomach contents.

From the air we saw a whale, astronaut, hummingbird, a monkey, a hand, a parrot, a condor and a spider.
