I have spent quite a bit of time chilling out down at the esplanade, and swimming in the massive lagoon.
I have also done a couple of trips: Did a day trip to the Great Barrier Reef and Green Island, which was great. It was a perfect day - not a cloud in the sky and very little wind. Apparently the water temperature was 25 degrees, but I still needed a wetsuit, being the wimp that I am!
Also took a trip to the rain forest - to a village called Kuranda. Went by cable car and came back by the scenic train. Very pleasant.
Staying in a great hostel, 15 minutes walk from the esplanade.

Hi Janet, sounds like you are having a fab time and the chill time in Australia is well deserved. Is Tokyo on you list of places you are visiting ?
