Today, Clovis, Elaine, Arlo, and I went for a drive to check out the Trump National Golf Course and the Wayfarers Chapel along the South coast of the peninsula in nearby Palos Verdes. The golf course has amazing grounds overlooking the ocean with grass and hiking paths open to the public. We didn't know until we got there that there is a beautiful sand beach below the golf course property, and it's a very popular spot for dogs. We didn't go down the cliff to the beach today, but Arlo enjoyed the walk on the foothills and we'll bring him another time when we can hike down and let him play in the sand and the ocean. Here's a view of the beach from the cliffs:


From the golf course, we drove a little further along the coast to the Wayfarers Chapel. This glass chapel was designed by Lloyd Wright in 1951. There was a wedding in process, so we didn't get to see inside the chapel or walk all the way around, but we still enjoyed the grounds and the view of the chapel from this side:
