We woke up early today and Helen was not feeling 100%, so there seemed little point in going to the cooking school. Luckily we managed to phone the school and move our booking to tomorrow.

It was another fairly quiet day for us given Helen's stomach problems. Most of our time was spent trying to get our diary up to date so we can post up the blog. Helen spent a bit of a time in the sun by the pool this afternoon and managed to get a bit sunburnt, but her stomach at least seems to be feeling better so she decided to do a 20 minute run along the beach in the evening. All the eating and beer drinking on this holiday is not doing the bikini bod much good!

James sat and watched the sunset and took some photos while Helen ran - this is certainly an amazing place to watch sunsets.

For dinner we sat at one of the restaurants on the beach. When we ordered our food our waiter asked if we wanted our meals to be spicy, to which we replied yes- what a mistake that was!! While we both like our spicy food, our meals were so hot they were almost inedible. There was much sweating and watering of eyes – we’ll think twice before asking for extra spice next time!  (We think even David would have struggled with those chillis!)

The beach was a bit more lively tonight with a few more people around which was good.  It’s really surprised us how quiet it is here as it’s supposed to be high season. It’s a lovely place to be but it would be nice if it was a bit busier at night.  Tonight some of the bars were letting off fireworks and there were some fire shows which were fun to watch.

There was also a guy on the beach selling hot air balloons/lanterns made out of tissue paper. They have a round base made of thin wire to hold their shape and are about 40 centre meters in diameter and about 1 metre high. At the bottom in the centre of the base is a round fuel disc which is soaked in kerosene - you light the bottom then hold in upright, wait a minute or two then like magic they rise up in to the sky.  We bought one and it was really cool to watch - since it’s dark you can easily see the glow of the fuel burning as it rises up.   There was very little wind when we did ours so it went straight up in the sky for miles and it probably stayed lit for about 10 minutes before the fuel ran out.  Good fun.
