We had a well earned sleep in today although only to just after 9 but it was great to have a decent nights sleep instead of having to get up at 6. We were though woken several times in the night by heavy rain which got us worried that we might be stuck up here.

We pretty much took it easy in the morning but then some of the others turned up from the camp in town from the other group that had gone gorilla trekking that day.   The group said that they had to trek for 6 hours through thick jungle and up and down the mountains before they found the gorillas!! We definitely got off lightly with our half hour walk J  It was great that they'd come up to the lake though as it meant the roads weren’t too bad.  We had a really nice boozy lunch with everyone and then the weather packed in so we all sat in the bar drinking and playing more Pub Quiz. We also went for a paddle in a dugout canoe on the lake which was almost a hopeless effort as the canoe’s proved difficult to steer so we ended up just going round and round in circles.  It was fun all the same though and the lake was beautiful and warm so one of the girls in our group, Millie, went for a swim too.

Helen spent a good while this afternoon trying to find the wallabies v all blacks game on the digital TV but unfortunately it wasn’t on.  We did catch the Liverpool v Fulham game though with Liverpool losing 3-1 and having 2 players sent off – we think we’ll give up on football for the rest of the season now!!!!

James also managed to get a few great bird and sunset shots which we’ll upload when we can.
