So on our last morning we actually saw a marine turtle digging her nest. We also saw two flamingos. We went on one of our days in Purto Ayora to the Charles Darwin center and saw the huge land turtles, including lonesome George. Lonesome George is the last of his kind. They have been searching for genetically similar females but so far George refuses to mate with them. They will attempt cloning as a last resort as it is expensive and not often successful.

I would highly recommend a trip to the Galapagos to anyone. It was excellent. I hope some of you will have the good fortune to go some day too.
