Where I stayed
nowhere, just passed the day there in between flights
Landed in New York after the usual long flight.
Took the airtrain to Jamaica station and then on to Manhattan.
I had to go buy a digital camera as I didnt have one yet and it might be useful in this case ;-)
I also had to find a SA guide as it hit me that I forgot to bring it along when the security officer in Brussels asked me what I had used to plot my travels.
She was not content to here me say I hadnt actually and it took her a while to actually let me through :-)
After buying the above and all the accessories I had some time left and decided to take a walk in Central Park. I entered on one side and walked all the way around via itīs many little pathways. There was still snow all around from the recent blizzards they had suffered. It was quite a beautiful sight.
Even ran in to a photoshoot of a just married couple over one of the little bridges there. They will be very nice photos indeed.
Once I got out of the park I walked back to my subway connection to JFK via Times Square. It still generates that particular feeling between beauty, awe and vomitting it did before.
All in all a great place and I look forward to being here after my journey and relax a bit with Chris.
Flight to Rio was delayed for 30 minutes but it was a bigger plain than the one that got me to NYC.
I was alone in the row on my side so actually managed to get some sleep.
Rio here I come...
