We shopped today for humanitarian aid items such as pencils, notebooks and toys for the children such as dolls and balls. The market was crowded and hot. We met with Bishop Cox, Fatu, the Dr., Peter Davis, Kotte Sr. and Jr., and the director of vocational services.  We had a good meeting and the team was truly grateful that we came to help the people of Liberia.  They have a detailed plan to help the children of the community including health care, foster care, a feeding program, and adoption.  They are doing the groundwork.  All of these services are in their infancy..it's amazing to be part of this.

Glad you are both their safely
Jana/Dawn,

I caught up on your blog tonight. It's really exciting to hear about all your meetings, and work so far. I'm eager to hear more details when you're home next week. We'll continue to keep you, Dawn and the children you're working with in our prayers each night. Tonight Eric asked about Miss Dawn and Liberia. Give her our best and let her know our thoughts are with her.

Blessing to you both,
Susan

fyi
I know I spelled 'their' wrong in the title of my last posting. You may have noticed that it's 2:30 a.m. when I posted though so I'll blame it on that. ;-)
