En route to Rotorua we visited the Karangahake Scenic Reserve to explore the gorge, walking
15 ppl over bridges thats hav e a 10 person limit probably wasn't the best idea as the wire on 1
bridge started to unravel and creek and start to fall...just kidding, but it could have happened!
there were loads of mining tunnels which we ventured into for a little more excitment until we
realised we may end up getting lost!
That eveing i thought it would probably be a good idea to taste a bit more of the culture
so i splashed out on evening in the Tamaki maori village. Where we would find out how the maori
culture developed and how they went about their day to day live. There was a performance
where they tols us teh story with signing dancing and also performing the Haka. Followed
by a banquit fit for a king with mussles, chicken, fish, beef and all the trimming...
one thing is for sure i haven't gone hungry so far on this trip!
I could have gone zorbing or luging again but thought for the sake of my finds it would
be wise not to especially with what i knew was coming up! :-)
speak soon!!
