So we decided to splurge with the hotel in Verona and Trieste a bit and boy is it nice......its like a vacation on our extended vacation......we got to this hotel here in Trieste, beautiful and right on the water. Jason sweet talked the receptionist (though he thought she said small king instead of smoking - his Italian is improving by the day leaps and bounds) into upgrading our room to a junior suite, and OMG!!!!! ITS FAB! We have this massive room bigger than half our flat in London with a balcony view overlooking the ocean. Life doesn't get much better than this. Had a really nice fish dinner last night and are about to embark on a bit of culture during our city exploration today. Figured that since most of Italy is churches, we should go see the synagogue here as its one of the biggest in Europe. Not that either of us are religous, but sometimes we just get the urge to pray (NOT!, this is not some bible belt after school special). Jason is ready now, so we're off for the day, ttyl......
