The thought of God's beautiful creations just waiting to be explored is a marvelous idea. The various terrain and wildlife living everyday life without a clue as to why it's there. The innocence, and yet again the pure adrenalin that nature gives. It's a beautiful thing, nature. A place in which you can sit and really absorb God's gifts. It's like he and Jesus are playing a game of baseball. Jesus throws him an object and God hits it far. As it lands God looks at his placement and simply states "that will do". And again I'll say, nature is a beautiful and wonderful gift.

Today I had the opportunity to go hiking with a good friend. We decided on a moderate hike of 2.7 miles one way, Rainbow Falls. The hike was slightly intense due to my lack of exercise lately, but giving up was not an option. Once to the falls, I climbed up to the top and observed the scenery from a different perspective. What was once a dark and peaceful place now opened up into a bright lifelike picture. The view was outstanding. After a long rest and a water refuel from the stream, we packed up and headed toward the car. The 2.7 miles back were much faster and all downhill, which can be a blessing and curse. We arrived at the car after talking to three elderly women who were about to attempt the hike (pretty hardcore if you ask me). We headed back down toward home and stopped for some BBQ along the way. Week one of hiking complete, next week I shall set out again.
