The initial plan for this morning was to catch a local bus to Torgi Sagar. Five hours spent on a thirty seat bus with ninety people on it. Luckily, Dushyant arranged private jeeps for us because some of our group are sick. It would have been good to get a real Indian bus experience but it would have been difficult. We travelled to the Indian countryside and are staying in the house of a man who is the 'King' of the village. G Adventures are the only tour company who come here so there was no hint of tourism taking over the area.

We got to play a bit of cricket this afternoon. There was a large patch of grass near the hotel where we set up before being joined by a few locals who were miles better than us. None of us were any good but we still had a great time playing in the afternoon sun. We then went on a walk around one of the local villages. They hardly ever see Westerners so the children were very excited to see us. They loved posing for the cameras and seeing themselves in the pictures afterwards. Their village was extremely basic but the kids didn't seem to care which was great.

In the evening we went for a walk to the top of a sand dune to see the sunset. The view was stunning and looked more like the plains of Africa than India. We found this really steep sand dune which we had loads of fun running down, although me and another guy decided it would be a good idea to sprint back up which was a terrible idea. My lungs have never hurt so much in my life; it took me about half an hour to recover. I think a month of eating delicious food and doing no exercise is beginning to show.

We enjoyed a lovely buffet dinner whilst sitting on the roof around a campfire under the stars. The sky here is really clear so you can see loads of stars. Unfortunately we didn't have any marshmallows to roast but instead had a local dessert of rice and coconut. We sat around the fire for so long that my clothes now stink of smoke and I'm sure will do for a few days now.

Tomorrow we are heading further west to the town Pushkar.
