On the way to Longbeach we realised we'd been eating up the miles with barely any stops in any of the nice looking coastal towns that line the Pacific Coast Highway so we opted for a stop in Morro Bay as it had the best choice of places to eat (according to our guidebook).

We had a wander round some shops and bought a few things like a t-shirt, some mirrored aviator shades (which I'd been looking for all holiday) and some other random stuff. We ate a sports bar as we sat for 10 minutes in a decent looking restaurant without any attention from the staff so we left and ate at this other place instead as we were pushed for time. Food was a bit standard but it filled the gap and we rolled on, non-stop to Longbeach.
