Stumpy and Maz took us for breakfast in the local Ruby's diner in Long Beach, basically a themed 50's style diner where the waitresses are all pretty stunning and each venue has its theme based on the culture of the area. For example this one was all car based, but the one in Huntington beach was all surf orientated.

After breakfast we went to the Korean Bell of Friendship and had a look at the giant Bell in a Pagoda, built as a thank you from the South Koreans after the war in 1950-53.

Maz had to leave for work so Stumpy took us for a cruise down Sunset Blvd and showed us the various famous bars n clubs like Whiskey A-Go-Go, Viper Room, Key Club, etc etc.

Once we got back it was time to pack our stuff n take the Jeep back to the airport n trade it for a new one which we'd pick up in a couple of days. No convertibles in the desert for me thank you.

We were picked up from the airport by Adam's family friends the Blades and whisked off to Huntington beach for a meal and a walk on the pier before heading back to their place at Laguna Niguel. It was the first proper meal I'd eaten since landing in the US so it could've been followed by another one, quite easily.

Early night as we had to be up early to get the most out of a day in Joshua tree National Park.
