So, here we are. The dawn of the penultimate day. We are currently residing at Basecamp HQ - Melstock, Forest Row, preparing for the first stop of many on our epic journey.

The days have mainly consisted of packing, shopping, repacking, and furiously filling ourselves with as much food as possible to bulk up - this is going to be a marathon adventure. Jen is all packed and ready, James is not. I've still to do my 'final pack' although history (of the past 2 trial packs) tells me that this should not be a problem.

I'm not going to bore you with the mundanity of the last couple of days, suffice to say we are both mega excited. We've been for a few walks to prepare for the trekking, although I imagine trekking in the hills of Northern Thailand isn't quite replicated in Ashdown Forest.

We'll update you when we actually have something foreign, or at the very least, interesting to speak of.

Oh, and there has been a State of Emergency called in our first stop, Bangkok.

Good.

Over and out.
