I have been here for 4 days mas o menos and in the last 24 hours I have been thrown up on and pooped on, although both not by the same species. I have a bus in T minus 1 hour and a half, and I am ready to get the hell out of here.

It is actually quite a nice area.  It is a little america and there are quite a few here, in addition to chinese, Japs, and i guess ingleses......they are everywhere, but mainly Americans. It is the hardest place to get to by bus and I think that they like it that way as there is enough money here just to get the plane willy nilly. Big cars, big houses, nice plaza and lovely church......The women are not Cholitas either, they are actually quite stunning.......which makes me think - This is not Boliva.

I ventured on the second evening to a little jazz bar with some dudes in the plaza.  There was some cool music and even cooler prices for the drink. It is cheap here!!!!   Most days I have just been relxing here and not doing anything but updating the blog.

On the third day I decided to do something, and although I wanted to go to a place called inti Wara Yassi which is an animal sanctury, well 3 to be precise, I decided against it as it is too much time and I wanted to see Samaipata.  This is a little place 2.5 hours from Santa Cruz and has nothing.  It has cascadas.......which you need to get to about 1.5 hours more, CheŽs place of death - 2.5 hours more........what is the point of me coming here.  Lonely Planet does not tell you this - just that you can visit it from there!!!!  Right I will stop before this is not longer a travel blog yet a rant!!!!!  Samaipata was not so bad, there are ruins which are nice and a small waterfall called El Fuerte.   To get there you need to take a taxi for 30 Bolivianos, which is around 3 quid. My first ride was with a crazy driver, Mum and kid in the front (who was being sick from the driving), me in the back seat with a chunky guy and a youngen reading his book........Ah at this point I just want to interupt and say that here they call me Joven, WHICH MEANS YOUNG, and I love it. ......they chunky guy was talking to me then using me as a pillow while testing the new fashion of epilleptic dancing (otherwise known as Myoclonus), every 15 or so seconds.  The other guy was not very talkative and i had no reading material..........I thought this journey was to be the strangest one that I would have to face, and although it probably was, I had worse.  On the Return the guy was just as bad a driver but this time the kid, completely different one, was in the back of a type espace car.  I was right by the door and 40 mins into the journey my sweater become a unique fashion garment designed by the littleŽn  himself!  All washed later on that night I went to bed and hoped nothing similar would happen again.

Knowing that I was off in the morning, I wanted to see the 2 Toucans that are in the hostel. One I picked up and had a photo then he started to fall and literally pooped himself down a new and improved t-shirt!!!!  I think I may have a curse in Santa Cruz so I finish here, my bus is in an hour!!

Out!

P.S. I have had my haircut, It was a great feeling.
