Well last night saw me and a few others drinking into the early hours of the morning doing silly thinkg like drinking shots upside down in a kayak attached to the ceiling of the bar...was not feeling too great when I woke up, but strong coffee and jumping into the Nile soon woke me up again!

Set off from the camp about 9am and drove 30 mins to the launch site. Had an awesome and very experienced river guide for our raft...he's here for six months and the novelty of the rapids hasn't yet worn off on him so we flipped as many time as we could. Full day rafting saw us turn upside down five times.

Was surprised at how clean and warm the water was in the Nile, had a really fantastic fun packed day finished with a BBQ and beer. Put plenty of suncream on but still managed to get sunburn on the top of my knees, feet and hands!

Got some great video footage of today and the jet boating yesterday, but unable to upload to this site at the moment, it will follow once I find a more reliable internet connection.

Nearly first leg of my trip gone already...it's going far too quickly.

Going to be sociable now.

Laters.

Hello James. Wow, what a fantastic time you are having. I started to read your notes last week, then decided to save them all up to read in one go as I could not stop once started. (Some of us have work to do and are exhausted when we get home..... I can see you grinning over that comment!!)

Well, you sound like the pied piper from the UK, attracting children and bugs galore. However, I was a bit concerned when looking at your wonderful photo's of the gorillas to find one of you peeping out amongst them, I had to take a double look to make sure the others were not you in disguise ha ha.

Keep on sending us notes and photo's, I am sure I am not the only one reading them and loving every moment. Watch out for that sun, maybe you should stay indoors to prevent being burnt??? (Only joking of course -as if you would consider that eh???) I'll think of you having a beer later and will say cheers in your absence.

Lots of love
