when i left you last i was heading to port Elisabeth. well i got here but i still had 10 days to kill b4 my flight, so i decided to carry on up the coast with Mark. i couldn't get the baz bus as it worked out a lot of money and i needed to sort a lot of things out off the route it takes. i decided to hire a car. this was made a little difficult as no1 wants to hire a car out to som1 with out a credit card. i managed to convince a company to loan me a car if i put a V' large deposit down. i then drove to Kariega game reserve(www.kariega.co.za) and booked a nights stay for just b4 i leave 4
Perth. then on to a place called Cintsa. V' pictures. the backpackers i stayed in was v' well orginised with a free activity every day, usually including 10L of free wine. a bloke was working there that i had met b4 as he used to work in
Stellenbosch. he was a good laugh. + i met back up with Mark and a few others; Celine, Stuart, Jerry, Gary(not her real name but i still can't spell it), Maddy, see pics
. i popped along to a beach that was on the best 10 list. i found it to b down 15-20 K's of unmade dirt track. not fun to drive down but views were good. chilled out for a couple of hours there and then had to drive back. hostel had free canoes to use so me and mark decided to take 1 out. we were on the river but then decided to see if we could catch some waves in the sea. note to all: don't take an open top canoe in waves. it filled up straight away and we then had to try and turn it to empty it. we didn't try again. played a lot of drinking games while there. Learnt a new flexibility game with a broom stick and taught a few ppl the game with the shot glass on the floor. i can now do it with a money note. ppl all moved on to Coffee bay next. i followed in the car but as i was dropping off some volunteers as they were having trouble getting to their school, i had missed seeing the baz bus arriving which unfortunately meant i didn't see Mark b4 he went on to Durban. i spent 2 nights in C'bay with Celine, Stuart, Jerry, Gary. good fun, mostly going for walks over the hills and around the beach.
Now i am back in port Elisabeth. i'm sad that i have had to leave so many friends over the course of this last month but happy that i had the chance to meet so many great ppl, they made my experience perfect.
i will put another blog on line as soon as i find time and a comp' in Oz.
