In krabi there is a bonkers regea bar where they sell really strong cocktails and talk to you for hours.
Not quite what we were expecting but nice all the same. Krabi town itself is a very local thai village with a street ( small road) dedicated to the backpacker. It is a very quiet place with a really nice food market at night near the river and one in the centre where every weekend you can get up and sing karaoke. James was desperate to get up I had to restrain him. They also have lots of mango and sticky rice for sale yuuuuummmmeee!!! The main holiday maker area with lots of shops and bars etc is Ao Nang just up the coast, 30 baht in a sangtaew where I lost my hat it just flew off. Oh i forgot to say that on the way to Krabi James left his straw hat on the bus so the score now is 2 james and 2 Ruth. There are also islands and beaches to visit by boat which are very nice. Railay is a popular spot for both BP and holiday makers we just went for the day and that was nice.
