I am great (Note from James: and modest!). I uncomplainingly allowed James to eat a whole dead guinea pig, despite the fact it was a tad expensive and I was fairly sure sitting opposite the poor thing would make me feel ill, which it did. What was interesting was trying to identify the tiny organs James extracted from the carcass. What we guessed were lungs were revealed to be kidneys once cut open - fascinating. The before and after photos are below.
We are now in Arequipa and are travelling to Lima overnight as we are heading back to the UK at the end of the week. Whilst here we have visited a big famous convent, which sold the yummiest pecan pie, and the Colca Canyon, over which we saw condors flying. This was a great trip, despite having to leave our hostel at 2.30 am to get there in time to see some condors.
There isn't much else to report. For the more puerile amongst you, IŽve included a few photos we took of a popular range of condiments in Peru called Fanny. It never failed to raised a chuckle from James or I every time we went to the supermarket and saw Fanny tuna, mayonnaise, pasta sauce etc.
This is probably the last post weŽll do from South America. Things are looking more promising now for our trip to Egypt, Jordan and Syria, so weŽll pick up the blog again once weŽre in the Middle East.

James I would have been disappointed if you'd left South America without eating a guinea pig...
Excited to have you back, but sad that your adventure is coming to an end. Oh no, you jammy buggers are off to the middle east.
Enjoy your last few days and safe travels back.
