Gili Trawangan- lombok......Paradise! (well for us so far) We decided to say good-bye to PadangBai on Fri and took the slow boat across to the Gili Islands via Lombok. The Gili Islands are made of 3, GIli air, meno and T. Of which we're staying on the biggest island (3 by 5km) GIli T. We had to take this really cool fishing/converted travelers boat across to Gili but it added to the excitement, esp when we had to wade through water to get onto the island. Its also really refreshing as the only mode of transport is by bike or horse and cart!!! On the trip over we met these really cool dutch travelers who James recognised from Jogja so it was nice to have a chat with them. We are actually spending most of our time with them, going partying on the first night (double gin and tonic for 1pound!) and snorkeling.  We tested out the underwater camera today (14th March) and as you can see from the photos its amazing :) :)!  We were also really lucky to see turtles and then swim with them before chilling out on the beach and eating loads of fruit and freshly caught tuna steaks, yummy! Tomorrow we are going island hopping whilst doing some more snorkeling in the hope of seeing bigger fish and sharks!! Then its back to Gili T and a massive beach party in the evening/early morning. Our accommodation is the best yet with a brand new double bed and really clean linen (aka no bed bugs). In addition Rach is feeling very much at home with the local cats as they seem to be as vocal as Betty, although they don't seem to have the same undercarriage :)!

So this is our update so far from Gili but we're here till Thursday when our boat leaves for Komodo!!!!!

xx
