I have decided to write as little as possible because I want to enjoy my time here! :-)  My writing is not going to be as clever as last year's and I am not going to worry too much about editing. So teacher friends, forgive me.

I have been dancing up a storm, but took last night off. I was so extremely tired that my eyes were closing in the middle of dinner. Of course dinner started at 10 p.m. so it was midnight when I started falling asleep. So rather than go to the milonga that lasted to 4 a.m. I went to bed!  :-)

Now back to the trip. Here are some of the things we have done:

Saturday, October 31:

Saturday is known as date night so Gary and I went out for dinner and then to Lo de Celia. It is a club that has a lot of old milongueros with sweet, meaningful dances. But it is the only night where it is acceptable to dance with one person all night. Every other night it is unacceptable to stay with one partner. The girls went to El Baso and they have some fabulous stories. El Baso is known for being more of singles club.

Sunday, November 1:

All of the girls went to Club Lo de Celia  and had another great night of dancing. It is especially fun to meet dancers from the United States. One gentleman asked me to dance and as soon as we got into an embrace, I remembered that I have danced with him a couple of times in Chicago. He is from Alaska and is a very smooth dancer. We are now email friends and I am sure we will be staying in touch.

Monday, November 2:

I had my eye appointment and have realized that it is not that much cheaper to have lasik eye surgery here, so I will wait until I get home. Gary and I went shoe shopping and I bought two pairs of shoes.

Gail, Katerina and I ate at a parilla and then went to Club Grisel. A friend of ours from Buenos Aires met us there and we stayed until 3 or 4 in the morning.

Tuesday, November 3:

Gail, Katerina and I spent a very long day of shopping for shoes. We went to Berties, the place where I custom ordered my shoes last year. Did I tell you that I only wore them about three times and I believe that my shoes were stolen in Minnesota? I decided not to have any custom made this year.

In the evening, Katerina stayed home as she was a little under the weather and Evelie, Gail and I went to Porteno y Bailarin. WOW!!!!!! What a spectacalar night of dancing! I did not sit one tanda!  Every dance was amazing, except for one!!!! Danced with people from Germany, Montreal, Sweden, (he was a to-die-for dancer--I actually think I did on the dance floor in his embrace) United States and Argentina. The other girls left early and I stayed until 4 a.m. I basically needed to because I was being groped on the dance floor by an Argentine. Although he was nice about it. :-)

Wednesday, November 4:

We met up with Cesar, an Argentine we met last year who is a spectular dancer. The video in this entry is of the two of us dancing.

So, so, so, so, so, so much more to tell...or not. After all, what happens in BsAs, stays in BsAs.
