So as it was nearing the end of our trip we decided to splurge and get an apartment in buenos aires for our week stay. In the end it didn't end up much more expensive than a private room in hostel anyway!

Our apartment was great, a luxury after some of the hostel dorms we have stayed in on our trip.

We stayed in Palermo neighborhood which was great lots of bars, restaurants and shops!! It's colder in buenos aires, around 15ish although sunny most days. At least it is helping us acclimatize to Melbourne temperature, although we are very quickly loosing the small tan we have managed to get during our trip.

The first few days in buenos aires have mostly been spent wandering around, shopping and catching up with some of our other friends from rio. We went out for some delicious dinners, one even serving you champagne outside whilst you wait for your table (from around 8pm to 11pm!) everything in ba is done much later than home, dinner at around 10pm - 12am is pretty normal!

We also went on a shopping tour just ourselves and guide to leather factories, hidden apartments, and great boutiques we would've never found, where we got some great (and cheap) leather jackets custom made, bags and shoes!

There are no stray dogs in ba, although lots of pet dogs, which poop on the street a lot so mind your step! Ba actually reminds us a lot more of home than anywhere else, and a lot of people speak English here. The food is a lot of meat, pasta, pizza and red wine and many desserts and better coffee than most places in south America. A great place!!
