Martinique Island is a french overseas department.
The Martinique Island is next another big french Island : Guadeloupe.
Near the town of Sainte-Luce, there is the "Diamant".
The "Diamant" is a big and natural Roc in the carribean sea.
The capital town of this Island is Fort-de-France.
This Island has knew a terrific blast of the "Montagne Pelé" volcano the 8th may 1902. and there was 2 survivors of this tragedy whereof a prisoner.
The specialities of this Island are bananas planting and the rhum.
