Ended up in Salta from the border of Argentina and Bolivia where I ended up having to spend a night. It was a nice change in scenery as there were a lot more trees and greenery which was in stark contrast to the dryness of Bolivia. It was raining really heavily when I arrived which again was actually nice as I hadn't seen any rain for about a month.

Salta seems to be a pretty busy place. Loads of Cafes. good shopping and Nice plazas. The women here are amazing compared to Bolivia!!

We had a huge Christmas dinner on Xmas eve put on by the hostel, with about 25-30 people involved. After that we had a few drinks before the skys were alit with fire works at midnight in every direction. It was quite a sereal seen. There was one family on the street below lighting rockets with a dog that kept jumping over the fireworks. At first we were yelling at the dog to get away but it actually seemed to be enjoying getting hit by the rockets. At one point it managed to knock over one of the Roman candles which started firing at the family who ran inside. It was a pretty crazy scene. After that we headed out to the main party area of Salta and got into a massive club. We made a pretty decent spectacular of ourselves on the stage bringing up our comedy moves in front of the less than impressed locals who were concentrating strictly on their salsa moves. Christmas day was a pretty low key affair with everyone pretty hangover from the night before. I did however manage to lose a game of ping pong 21-0. I suck at ping pong / stupid game anyway!

On the last day I took the teleferico up the hill for a panoramic view of the city with the mountains in the background. Tomorrow I am heading for Mendoza the wine capital of Argentina.
