Came straight from Cuszo and over the border into the small town of Copacabana on the edge of Lake Titicaca´s southern shore at 3800m above sea level. The sunsets over the lake were so intense in color and seemed to last for hours.

I went trekking around the local area into the hills, which included covering Cerro Calvario, which overlooks the whole of Copacabana.

Every morning at 10am the Benediciones de Movilidades or blessing of automobiles, takes place infront of the cathedral. In a frankly strange ritual the automobiles are covered in flowers and offerings before being blessed and then sprayed with champagne. Then the locals all dance around their vehicles and seem to general just get drunk before I presume driving off in their cars. Love it!

I took a day trip to Isla Del Sol which is the Island of the Sun and the birthplace of the Sun in Inca Mytholgy. The hiking which took around 4 hours around the Island was wonderful with great views of Titicaca. The Inca ruins however where never going to compete with those that I had just seen in Cuzco. In fact they sucked!
