I ended up staying in Lima for nine days as I had gotten to the point where I was a little tired of travelling so much and needed to chill out for a while. I stayed at the Flying Dog Backpackers in Myraflores which was pretty chilled out and run by some young peruvians. Myraflores is the nicer posher area of Lima.
I generally just spent a lot of time in the hostel, which had a very chilled atmosphere. On one particular day I ended up watching four DVDs. I also went out to quite a few clubs. Myself and another English guy met a couple of local girls who took us to a club on one of the nights notreally noticing anything out of the ordinary except when the ´Spice Boys´popped out for a show on stage. "Spice up your Life"- No Thanks.
I took a taxi into central Lima and was actually quite surprised at how nice the central Plaza was. From there, there was a main bustling shopping street and loads of old churches scattered about. I also took a walk to the see the massive cliffs that are a Paragliders dream, for a view over the rocky beach below and the Pacific Ocean. I also decided to get another tattoo and so after drawing up a design and searching out a couple of parlours found a young guy who was a pretty good artist. It was pretty cool hanging out in the studio chatting with piegon english with the artist and the people getting inked, I think they found it pretty strange a gringo had walked into his shop and his lack of english and my lack of spanish made it a pretty funny experience. I got a row of stars on my underside of my wrist. The next girl after me was also getting some stars done on her neck. The Studio's name is Artesagrado. (Artesagrado.com)
After nine days of chilling with some great people in the hostel I decided to pick up the pace and Tommorrow head down south to a town called Pisco.
