I hoped on a boat over to Santa Rosa the day before my boat to Iquitos in Peru. Here I meet a local guy and ended up having quite a few Cervaces in the sun. Santa Rosa had a very small village feel to it and I preffered it to the other two border towns. A small observation was that its beast to get your exit stamp from the customs officer before having a few beers and not when you after.
Tabatinga (Brazil), Letica (Columbia) and Santa Rosa (Peru) combine to become the 3 way border between each country. I decided to stay in the Columbian side which had quite a bit going on. I was here for Halloween and it was slightly strange having hundreds of kids running around dressed as ghosts, ghouls and Spider Man. There is not really a lot to do here as it is really just a transport hub. Tabatinga had even less going for it, just a lot of hustle and bustle. The way to get between the two countries is to simply hop on a moto taxi that just whizzes you from place to place for next to nothing. There isn't even any border control here.
