Interlakens setting is pretty hard to beat. Set between the lakes, Thun and Brienz and locked in with the huge young snow-capped peaks towering above. Our campsite was in prime position on the waters edge. The actual town itself was a complete tourist trap as you would expect and best avoided if you wanted to miss the swarms of tourists. Even most of the street signs were in Japanese, which I found quite strange.
Continuing the trends of our trip the weather wasn't really doing us any favours and because of the deep cloud cover and drizzle I ended up cancelling plans to go paragliding off one of the nearby cliff tops. The charms of Interlakne for us were generally lazing in our campground beside the lake taking in the fresh cool air. Also hitching in past all the lakes was pretty special as well.
