We managed to find a pretty good campsite in Esperance right on the ocean front. Most of out time in Esperance was fairly overcast and blustery, so we didn't really get a chance to make use of the awesome beaches down here. Neither did we take enough time to explore to explore Cape Le Grand, which I regret now as it is meant to have some pretty spectacular scenery.

One of Esperances main features is the massive jetty that arches into the Esperance bay of Isles and a couple of the local sea lions like to make an appearance there most days. Just on the outskirts of town is the Pink Lake, which isn't that pink - I've seen far pinker lakes than that in Bolivia.

On our first night in town we decided to hit the local pub and got to talking to a few of the locals before heading off into another section of the bar that was more of a nightclub managing to leave very late in the morning.

On the last day before heading out of Esperance we drove the 36km round circuit of the Great Ocean Drive not to be mistaken with the Great Ocean Road we would be tackling later on in the trip. The drive produced some wonderful ocean vistas from atop the many lookou point scattered along the drive.
