STOP THE CAR !
That is what I would have said if I had seen it first, but Larry slammed on the breaks and said "grab your camera" before I even had a clue.
We had gone to Stanwood, WA to do a site survey for a fireworks show and as we were heading back to the highway this ring-necked-pheasant decided to cross the road in front of us.
It seemed more concerned with drawing us away from the hen or maybe a nest than anything else.
It went into some bushes, but after we had an ice cream I wanted to go back and this time both the male and the hen were back at the edge of the road.
Anacortes is an interesting old port town with many vintage victorian homes, but while trying to find where we were going we passed this artsy home.
And how much fun are these rain spouts?
On the highway between Anacortes and I-5 near Mt Vernon there were fields and fields of dafodils
At a rest stop north of Everett on I-5 there was this increadible red cedar stump. A great backdrop for a family travel photo!
