Thursday morning of the NFA Expo 2008 there was a meeting where Debbie Merlino explained many important factors relating to "Insurance for the Fireworks Industry", including the difference in adding people as "additionally insured" vs "additionally NAMED insured" . . . among other things. . Followed by a discussion on "Electrostatic Discharge Issues in fireworks & Other Interesting Topics" by Dr. Roger Schneider

An informative presentation on the "Changes to the BATF Orange Book" was given by Gene Baker, Pres Explosives Practical Solutions LLC, who managed to totally confuse me concerning issues of Employer Possessor Questioners that he assured us were only required for "Employees" and that volunteers should you have them, needed to be directly supervised by somebody with an EPQ on file. This information being exactly opposite what the BATF representative told us the day before. While Gene Baker does not work for BATF now, somehow I got the impression he did in the past.

The fireworks demos started out fine but ended in a down pour.
