Where I stayed
Heading Home-slowly
Well try as I might this is the only bear I made contact with at the campground!!!
Relaxing day yesterday. Mike did some fishing and actually caught some! We drove on the Blue-ridge Parkway. That's neat......just a road that goes for hundreds of miles up in the mountains. The elevations are so high it's still winter up there.....the trees are barren and brown. As you come down the mountains it gets green and lush.
We left the mountain campground and are heading to Kentucky. We sort of plan on going to Cumberland Falls State Park. We were then going to work our way up to Lexington to see some of Rolex, but the weather doesn't look good for Rolex. Who knows....we can take it day by day....no reservations or time lines. Love it.

Were you afraid the camper might not fit through the tunnel? Did Dad stop trafiic and get his tape measurer out?
It's funny you say that because you have to know the height of your vehicle before you get on the parkway.. They post them as "in center". we didn't take the camper on The Parkway, but there was one tunnel we would barely have made it through. We would have to go through right in the middle!
